Christmas Eve | Lent | Easter | Communion | Saturday Night Worship | Blessing the Animals
Lent is one of the most sacred times on the liturgical calendar. Not including Sundays, it is the forty day period between Ash Wednesday and Easter. It is a time of penitence and prayer. It has been observed by the church for generations.
Lent is a busy time at Western Reserve. In addition to our normal three services on Sunday morning, we have added some additional opportunities to grow closer to Christ. Once again we will join with five other United Methodist congregations in the area, Boardman, Canfield, Lockwood, Mahoning and Poland for our annual Lenten series at 7:00 every Sunday evening. This is an opportunity to worship and experience other United Methodist congregations in our area. Our midweek program Wonderful Wednesday Fellowship will return on Ash Wednesday. Bill Johnson will lead us in a short communion service each Wednesday at 6:30. Finally, I will be preaching a Lenten sermon series called:"The Things We Wish Jesus Had Not Said."Current Sermon Series
