Circle of Friends | Daughter's of God | Men's Breakfast | UMW | Susannah Circle | Walk to Emmaus
The Circle of Friends is a women's fellowship that meets on the fourth Sunday of the month at 7:00. They meet in members' homes or local restaurants. Their goal is to walk closer to Jesus, offer service to those in need and have a good time.
The goal of Daughters of God is to show Christ's love to all. They are a women's group designed to help them become stronger Christians. They meet on the first and third Thursday of the month in the church parlor at 5:30. A light dinner is served, followed by spiritual exercises.
For over a decade the men of the church have been gathering for breakfast. The goal of the men's breakfast at Western Reserve is to promote spiritual growth of men within our congregation and to provide service to the church and the community.
The men of the church gather for breakfast every second Saturday of the month at 8:30 in the fellowship hall. The cost of the meal is minimal, but everyone is expected to have a good time. Visitors are welcomed.
The United Methodist Women of Western Reserve is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to create a supportive, creative fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission in the participation of the global ministries of the church.
The Western Reserve unit of the United Methodist Women meets every second Thursday of the month. A lunch is served at 11:45. A program and short business meeting follows.
The Susannah Circle meets on the fourth Thursday of the month in the church parlor at 7:30. Their goal is to grow closer to Jesus and to get involved in our community and fellowship.
What is the Walk to Emmaus?
The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. The program's approach seriously considers the model of Christ's servanthood, and encourages Christ's disciples to act in ways appropriate to being "a servant of all." The three-day Emmaus weekend offers today's disciples an opportunity to rediscover Christ's presence in their lives, to gain fresh understanding of God's transforming grace, and to form friendships that foster faith and support spiritual maturity. To get involved in Emmaus, each person must have a sponsor who has already attended an Emmaus weekend. For more information, contact the church office.
